Tax & Accounting Administrative Assistant / Accounting Specialist

Murk-n-T, Inc., a growing, progressive tax and accounting firm in the Corridor, is looking for a customer-service oriented administrative assistant / accounting specialist who possesses solid interpersonal skills.
The firm offers a competitive wage with a full benefits package. This is a full-time position with the possibility of flex-scheduling during the off-season.

Candidate responsibilities:
- Client Accounting
- Monthly, quarterly & annually with Quickbooks / PcMars
- Client payroll processing and tax filing
- Accounts receivable / billing reconciliation
- Customer Service
- Answer and route incoming calls
- Interface with current and prospective clients
- Office Management / Administrative Assistant
- Facilitate transition to a paperless office
- Work extensively with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF, and
accounting software
- Copy and assemble documents
- Administrative assistant to six accountants
- Social Media and Web Experience a plus

Successful candidates will have an associate’s degree (bachelors degree preferred), as well as three to five years of administrative and accounting experience. Farming and tax knowledge is a plus. This position requires the professional individual to be dependable, self-directed, possess strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and should have superior customer service skills. In addition, candidates should have advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, Quickbooks, PcMars, Adobe, and Outlook. Experience with Social Media and Web development is strongly desired.
